Ideal for beginners or those wishing to improve their skills, our practical navigation days make map reading simple and fun.

 

It's a very practical day - we'll be heading straight into the hills where you'll learn how to read a map, use a compass and other helpful skills to help keep you safe and able to plan your own exciting hikes! You'll be amazed how quickly you'll learn.

 

There's no boring classroom stuff here, so don't forget your camera.

Price: A measly £30 per person

Please note: A reasonable level of fitness is required for all our activities, as well as suitable hiking gear (see kit list) - we'll be walking in open country, on mountainous terrain and sometimes crossing rivers without bridges.

​Areas covered; Keswick, Borrowdale, Buttermere, Grasmere, Ullswater, Wasdale and Eskdale.

Over 18's only, sorry - this is because we have not yet applied for an AALA license which is required when taking children on any adventurous activity.

Whether you're looking to meet new friends in our open group walks, or prefer a privately guided day, we have something for you.   

 

Fed up of doing the same old routes? Try something different with our other fantastic mountain routes.

If you don't see the walk or date you fancy on our calendar, just ask - We can usually arrange something to suit.

 

If the weather is looking bad for the day you booked we can usually change it to a sunnier day, so you won't miss out on the views. 

​

We have a variety of walks to suit most tastes, we don't rush and always go at the slowest person's pace. There's no clinging on by your fingernails either as we avoid named scrambles such as Jack's Rake, Striding Edge, Sharp Edge, etc.
